Polished Concrete FAQ

What is polished concrete?

Polished concrete is a concrete slab that has been ground, densified and polished with diamond tooling to create a hard, smooth, low-maintenance floor. The finish can range from a low matte sheen to a high, reflective gloss.

How long does polished concrete last?

With proper densification and sealing, a polished concrete floor can last decades and is one of the most durable flooring options — a key reason it is used in warehouses, retail and institutional buildings.

Is polished concrete slippery?

A polished floor is no more slippery than other hard flooring when dry, and we can add a slip-resistant treatment for wet or high-traffic areas to increase grip.

Polished concrete vs epoxy — which is better?

Polished concrete uses the existing slab with no coating to peel, so it is extremely low-maintenance. Epoxy adds a colourful, chemical-resistant coating on top. We help you choose based on the space, traffic and look you want.
